On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, the University of Silesia has signed the cooperation agreement on student exchanges with the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada). The newly-signed document will expand the cooperation between the universities, which is ongoing since 1996.
The Canadian university was represented by: prof. Joseph Patrouch - Director of the Wirth Institute for Austrian and Central European Studies and prof. Waclaw M. Osadnik from the Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies and the Wirth Institute for Austrian and Central European Studies.
On the part of the University of Silesia, the meeting was attended by: dr hab. prof. UŚ Tomasz Pietrzykowski - Vice-Rector for International and National Cooperation, prof. dr hab. Zbigniew Białas - Director of the Institute of English Cultures and Literatures, Agata Wójcik - Head of the Department of International Relations and Jarosław Gąsior - Head of the Erasmus Program Office.
