On Monday, 26th March 2018, the University of Silesia in Katowice was visited by the Ambassador of Taiwan, Ven-Bin Shih.  The Ambassador was accompanied by his wife – Shu-Chiao Shih Chang, 1st Secretary Director Yeh-Shin Chu and Secretary Hsiu-Ya Liu, as well as Polish deputy – Jerzy Polaczek.

The meeting was opened by the Rector of the University of Silesia, Prof. Andrzej Kowalczyk, in presence of Agata Wójcik – the Head of the Department of International Relations, and Joanna Laskowska – the Head of the International Students Admissions Office of the University of Silesia.

The event focused on current research projects and the possibilities of cooperation development. The University of Silesia already cooperates intensively with two universities in Taiwan - Nanhua University and National Dong Hwa University.
